Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Miss Spent is made by Neon Tiger Labs LLC, a California limited liability company. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Neon Tiger Labs LLC; “the app” refers to the Miss Spent iOS app, and “the site” to the misspent.app website.

2. Your Miss Spent ledger

Miss Spent stores the information you enter in its local app data: temptations you capture, title, price, note, source link, attached image, pause state and verdict, Stash history, saving-anchor information, and related settings. The local ledger is held in a private App Group container used by Miss Spent and its app extensions.

In Release builds, the main app also uses Apple CloudKit to mirror the SwiftData ledger into the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple account when iCloud is available. Synced records can include the ledger fields above and image data stored with those records. Apple governs that iCloud processing under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Neon Tiger Labs does not operate a server that receives this ledger and does not have application-level access to your private CloudKit records.

3. Analytics

The app includes anonymous, opt-out product analytics provided by TelemetryDeck. Analytics are on by default and can be turned off at any time in the app’s Settings. Turning the setting off disables Miss Spent’s analytics signals.

What they measure is coarse product usage: for example, that the app was opened; that a temptation was captured and whether it came from the app or Share Extension; a pause-length category; whether a temptation was kept or bought; paywall and purchase-flow events; setting changes; widget usage; and limited diagnostic events.

What they do not include: analytics never include your items, amounts, notes, or images. They also exclude saving-anchor labels, source URLs, and human-readable error messages.

TelemetryDeck receives a hashed, random installation identifier used to group anonymous events. Miss Spent does not link that identifier to an account or known identity and does not use an advertising identifier. The App Store disclosure describes these signals as Not Used for Tracking; Miss Spent does not use them for cross-app or cross-site behavioral advertising.

4. Photos and product links

If you add a photo to a temptation from your photo library, camera/share flow, or another app, Miss Spent stores that image with the record. If iCloud sync is active, image data stored with the record may also be mirrored through private CloudKit as described in Section 2.

When you share a product link, the app may fetch an image from the page or image URL you supplied so it can show a thumbnail. That request is made directly from your device to the source website or its content-delivery provider. Neon Tiger Labs does not receive the image or the contents of that request, but the source service may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address under its own privacy practices.

5. Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your card number or other payment credentials. Product analytics may record that an unlock or restore occurred, but do not include the receipt or your payment details. Apple’s own privacy policy governs its payment processing.

6. The website

misspent.app is an informational site. It does not run product analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioral-advertising technology. Our hosting/CDN may keep standard short-lived access logs used to serve and secure the site.

The site loads its display fonts from Google Fonts. Loading those font files causes your browser to contact Google’s font infrastructure, which may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser details under Google’s privacy terms. The site does not use Google Analytics.

7. Data we do not receive

Neon Tiger Labs does not receive through Miss Spent:

• Your name, email, or account credentials — the app has no NTL account system
• Your bank, card, or transaction history — the app never links to your bank
• Your location or contacts
• Advertising identifiers
• Your temptation titles, amounts, notes, source URLs, or images as analytics payloads

8. Services relevant to this policy

• Apple CloudKit — private iCloud synchronization of the ledger.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — distribution, purchase, and restore processing.
• TelemetryDeck — the opt-out product analytics described in Section 3.
• Google Fonts — font delivery for the website.
• Our hosting / CDN — serves the website and may keep standard operational access logs.

We do not use advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, Google Analytics, the Meta/Facebook SDK, or advertising identifiers for cross-app or cross-site profiling.

9. Your choices and controls

• Turn analytics off at any time in the app’s Settings.
• Delete records using the app’s available delete controls; when iCloud sync is active, those record changes propagate through CloudKit after synchronization.
• Uninstall the app to remove its local app data from that device. Uninstalling does not necessarily remove synchronized records already stored in your iCloud account.
• Manage iCloud app data using Apple’s iCloud storage controls in iOS Settings.

10. Children

Miss Spent is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly use the app to collect personal information from children under 13.

11. California residents

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The limited TelemetryDeck signals are not linked by Neon Tiger Labs to an account or known identity, are not used by us for behavioral advertising, and can be disabled in Settings. California residents may contact privacy@neontigerlabs.com with a privacy request or question.

12. Users outside the United States

Neon Tiger Labs operates from the United States. Apple, TelemetryDeck, Google, and our hosting providers process data under their own privacy policies and infrastructure. If you use the app or site from another country, those services may process the limited data described above in other jurisdictions.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date above and describe material changes on this page or in an app update where appropriate.
