The short version: Miss Spent is built local-first. Your temptations, amounts, notes, photos, and Stash live on your device — there’s no account, and none of it is uploaded to us. The app uses anonymous, opt-out analytics that never include your items, amounts, notes, or images. The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t track you across apps or sites.
Miss Spent is made by Neon Tiger Labs LLC, a California limited liability company. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Neon Tiger Labs LLC; “the app” refers to the Miss Spent iOS app, and “the site” to the misspent.app website.
Everything you put into Miss Spent stays on your device: the temptations you capture (their title, price, note, and any photo), your pause timers and verdicts, your streak, your Stash, your savings goal, and your settings. It is held in the app’s on-device storage — a private App Group shared only between Miss Spent and its Share Extension.
This version of the app is single-device and local-only: there is no account, no iCloud sync, and no Neon Tiger Labs server. We cannot see this data, because it never leaves your phone. Deleting the app from your device deletes it.
The app includes anonymous product analytics, provided by TelemetryDeck. They are on by default and you can turn them off at any time in the app’s Settings; turning them off stops every signal.
What they measure is aggregate, anonymous usage — counts, buckets, categories, and durations only. For example: that the app was opened; that a temptation was captured (and whether from the app or the Share Extension); a pause-length choice; whether a temptation was kept or bought; that the paywall was viewed or the unlock was purchased or restored; which setting was changed; and error events (an error’s name and numeric code).
What they never include: your item titles, prices or amounts, notes, savings-goal labels, source URLs, or images — and error reports never carry human-readable error text. There is no name or account, because the app has none.
The analytics are anonymous and aggregate — “what share of sessions do X,” not “who did what.” TelemetryDeck receives a hashed, random installation identifier used only to group anonymous events; it is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across apps or websites. This is what the app’s App Store privacy label describes as Product Interaction, Other Diagnostic Data, and a Device Identifier — each marked “Not Linked to You” and “Not Used for Tracking.”
If you add a photo to a temptation — from your photo library, or by sharing an image to Miss Spent — it is processed and stored on your device only and is never uploaded to us. When you share a product link, the app may fetch that page’s image from the link you provided to show a thumbnail; that image is handled on your device and not uploaded to us. The app requests photo-library access only when you choose to add a photo.
The one-time unlock is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your card or payment details. Our analytics record only that an unlock or restore happened — never the amount, the product, or the receipt. Apple’s own privacy policy governs that payment.
misspent.app is an informational site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no account, sign-up, or payment. The only data created is the standard, short-lived access logs our hosting/CDN keeps to serve the site and keep it secure. If we ever add privacy-first, cookieless traffic measurement, we will name the provider here and update this policy before turning it on.

Miss Spent is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The limited analytics described in Section 3 are anonymous and not linked to your identity, and you can turn them off in the app’s Settings. Because the app has no account and keeps your data on your device, most requests are satisfied by those in-app controls; for anything else, contact privacy@neontigerlabs.com.
The app and site are operated from the United States. If you use them from elsewhere, the limited, anonymous analytics described above are processed in the United States. You can turn analytics off at any time in the app’s Settings.
If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date above and note material changes on this page.
